Indianhead Technical College
Award winning faculty, a warm and friendly learning environment
with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment has made the
Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College the "first choice"
for many residents on northwestern Wisconsin. WITC is located in
Rice Lake adjacent to the University of Wisconsin Center Barron
County.
Educational
programming at WITC-Rice Lake is recognized statwide and in the
nation for its unique program offerings, including Architectural-Commercial
Design, Computer Information Systems (microcomputer specialist),

WITC Technology Center
Work will begin in 2002 and be completed in 2003 on the new WITC
Technology Center. The WITC Technology Center will be situated on
a 16 acre parcel in Rice Lakes south industrial park adjacent
to the WITC campus. Similar technology centers are successful at
the two other Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Colleges campuses in
Ashland and New Richmond.
An adjoining 28 acres will comprise the Technology Park. Technology
oriented industries are encouraged to inquire about the Technology

WITC
Conference Center
The WITC Conference Center is a centerpiece for educational programs
and training meetings. This attractive, state-of-the-art conference
facility is the ideal setting for groups of any size. Flexible room
arrangements can accommodate small groups or conferences up to 240
people. WITC coordinates refreshments, meals, and food service;
arranges seating, and provides audio, visual and technology equipment
to enhance the meeting accomodations. For more information on the

keep your eye on WITC's soon-to-be Advanced Technology Center that
will prepare northwestern Wisconsin companies and their leaders
to better compete in the new economy.
University
of Wisconsin Center Barron County
The University of Wisconsin Center Barron County (UWCBC) is located
in Rice Lake on a 110 acre campus adjacent to the technical college.
With an enrollment of nearly 700, UWCBC offers a complete range
of freshman and sophomore level courses leading to a baccalaureate
degree. UWCBC offers Associate degrees as well as numerous continuing
education opportunities.
UWCBC
is also home to a satellite of the Small Business Development Center
(SBDC). The SBDC is coordinated through the University of Wisconsin
- Eau Claire. A variety of business services are available from

University of Wisconsin Extension - Barron County
UW-Extension, Barron County is located at 410 East LaSalle Avenue
in Barron. This community based educational program provides research
and information in the areas of 4H/Youth Development, Family Living,

OF WISCONSIN
The
University of Wisconsin has 4 campuses in close proximity to Barron
County. They include:
University
of Wisconsin - Stout
Located in Menomonie, Wisconsin, UW-Stout has Colleges in Technology,
Engineering and Management, Arts and Sciences, and Human Development.
UW-Stout also has specialized curriculum in International Studies,
